Dear Readers, Welcome back! And welcome to the next book in my Guys and Dogs series, which is due out this January ('08). If you liked, Beware of Doug , you'll love Hello, Doggy! because the hero is Brady's all-star brother Keenan James. Keenan worked in television for years, penning a series called Sex At Midnight about a psychologist who counsels – and often sleeps with – a bevy of beautiful women. The things Keenan learned about women during this time could be – and should be , if you ask him – compiled into a book that would show women how to save themselves from manipulative men. The only trouble is, the publisher wants Keenan to have a co-writer with credentials. Enter Tory Hoffstra – that's Doctor Hoffstra to you, Keenan – who not only disapproves of what Keenan is doing, she disapproves of the man himself. No one that handsome and charismatic should be counseling women on how not to be fooled by handsome, charismatic men. She also wonders if, like his character in Sex At Midnight, he's not using his position to compromise these women himself. The fact that Tory herself can't stop thinking about him doesn't help. Add to this Keenan's inherited dog named Barbra Streisand and Tory's lifelong fear of the toothy mutts, and you've got a mess. Not everything is trouble, however. Tory, who starts out as the quintessential Plain Jane, learns how to become a confident and beautiful woman, just in time to challenge Keenan's beliefs about life, love and the power of psychology – or at least one psycholo gist. Check it out this January. And if you haven't already, read Beware of Doug and/or Guys & Dogs to see what the rest of the dog-park girls have been up to. All the best, |
